I hadn't been at the Airport Lodge for a many minutes before I told Todd that, “…I think that I made a good choice booking in here.”

The issue is that airport motels and hotels worldwide have a poor reputation and Auckland is no better than anywhere else. The reviews for most were dire but as this place is relatively new there were no reviews to look at. I repeat that first impressions were good and right to the very end Todd met and surpassed my expectations.

The room was clean and quite well appointed for a short stay motel.  We could have cooked a meal there had we wanted.

We were off to Australia in the morning and as we needed to be at the airport by 5.00am and do not live in Auckland decided to drive and park up at the motel The deal was for the basic room, $99.00 for the two of us and this included parking for up to 14 days, delivery to and pick up from the International Airport. The alarm call worked as requested and dead on 4.30 am Todd arrived at the unit to uplift us.

It was just as easy on the return leg. A free call from the information centre and Todd was there in 10 minutes to drop us back to our parked car.

This was all incredibly easy, stress free and a pleasure. I can but recommend this place to anyone looking for Airport accommodation whilst in Auckland.
